The 14U level is a continuation of development in the fastpitch play. The 14U level is for girls 13 & 14 years old with birthdays between May 1, 2009 and April 30, 2011.
This age group continues to focus on the mastering their playing skills while continuing to learn more in-depth team and positional strategies.
The 14U team(s) will play in the Northwest Minnesota League which includes teams from Warroad, Roseau, Lake of the Woods, Greenbush, Thief River Falls, Red Lake Falls and Crookston. Currently the 14U league will play double-header games on Thursday evenings. We will have both home and away games. Parents will be responsible for getting players to out-of-town games. We will also try to schedule a few games against area teams. We will form team(s) based on the number of players registered and number of volunteer parent coaches.
We are looking for parent volunteers to coach. If interested, please call the Parks & Recreation Office, 218-773-8000, prior to registering to get setup as a coach.
Girls 14U softball will run three or four days per week, Mon-Thur. Most practice times will be 5:30pm - 7:00pm at LaFave Park (Sacred Heart Fields). Schedules for the entire summer will be posted prior to the first week of practice.
