Players with birthdays between May 1, 2014 & April 30, 2016
The 9U-10U Minor League is setup to continue the skill development and further the player's knowledge of game strategies and nuances. Players also learn to be part of a team and team play. This is an In-House league that will run Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. Some travel to nearby communities within 20 minutes of East Grand Forks may be required for league games.
Players will face live pitching from players in this league.
The 9U-10U league is coached by volunteer parents. The number of teams playing will depend on the number of registrants and the number of volunteer coaches.
We are looking for parent volunteers to coach. If interested, please call the Parks & Recreation Office prior to registering to get setup as a coach.
The 9U-10U league will begin in early to mid-May depending on field conditions and run through late-July.
Player Evaluations are tentatively scheduled for the week of May 5th (weather permitting, and more information to come). We do not cut any players at this age; evaluations will be conducted to create balanced teams that will lead to competitive games and improved player development. The week of May 12th will be used as a make-up week for player evaluations (if needed). Our goal is to have teams determined by Monday, May 19th at the latest with practices starting that week.
Game times each week are between 5:15 pm - 7:15 pm and practice times will be 6:45pm. Games are typically at the Itts Williams fields and practices at the Middle School Fields. Other sites (Lafave and the Senior High) may be used as well.
Games and practices alternate each week - i.e. Week 1 games Mon & Wed with practice on Tues, Week 2 Game on Tues with practices on Mon & Wed.
